Tobacco Free Initiative has organized for the World No Tobacco Day 2010 the closing ceremony of its activities at Antonine University Baabda, on the 31st of May 2010 between 5:00p.m and 7:00p.m. The general theme of the day was "لا للتدخين ساهموا في الانقاذ". The event was patronized by the Ministry of Socials Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health. It enjoyed the support of the WHO, with the cooperation of the Antonine University.
 
The event, animated by Michel Azzi with the participation of Maxim Chaaya, was a great success not only because it gathered many public figures from the political, social and economical fields but also because it gave a chance to a very enthusiastic group of some 200 young people coming from different schools to express themselves and back up their creative projects executed by the clubs.

Dr Mirna Abou Zeid, Executif director Publicity Faculty at Antonine University, welcomed the audience.
Mrs. Nadine Kayrouz el-Krab highlighted in her speech TFI achievements during the last 10 years and acknowledged TFI’s gratitude to the WHO, and all sponsors, naming Henkel Lebanon, Banque Libano-Francaise, BEMO Bank, SNA, Unifert and Stat-Ipsos.
Then Mrs. Nadine invited the representative of each school that signed and executed the TFI's Charter "Tobacco Free Schools" and offered them a certificate from the WHO to congratulate for their commitment.

Mrs Kayrouz’s speech was followed by the one pronounced by Dr Georges Saade, representative of the Minister of Health, then by Dr Zakhia, representative of the Minister of Socials Affairs.

Finally, Mr. Maxim Chaaya had a speech in the form of a testimony during which he presented to teenagers the advantages of not smoking for sports champions and winners in life.

The Students arrived at the Antonine University at 3:45 O'clock and exposed their projects. The jury chose the best projects before the beginning of the event.
